Showing a Staged Home

Showing a Staged Home

A home that has been properly Staged must also be presented to each potential buyer in the best light possible.

The suggestions below will assist you in showing every home at its best.

Everyday:

  • When possible, keep music playing from morning to evening. You never know when a showing may occur. Choose an easy listening/light jazz station or have a CD play continuously on a low volume.
  • Set the heater or AC to a comfortable temperature appropriate to the season your house is on the market.
  • Make sure bathrooms are in good showing condition – toiletries are put away, all hair has been removed from the floor.
  • Make sure kitchens are in good showing condition – put all cleaning products away and clear counters of food, dishes, and other miscellaneous items.

Before All Showings: Set the stage- “Lights, Music, Action!”

  • Open all curtains and blinds
  • Turn on ALL lights and lamps.
  • Put garage doors down.
  • Put all toilet lids down.

After Showings:

  • Keep all business cards of buying agents who showed your home for your selling agent to follow-up with.
